Lowesmoor Traffic signal,footway and carriageway improvement works

Today we will be carrying out works to the gullies outside "The Fire Fly" and "Brewery Tap" public house's. This will be carried out with give and take traffic management to cause the least distruption to traffic.
We will also be working on the island outside "American Golf" Pheasant Street installing sockets and ducting .
Tomorrow we will be removing the island outside "American Golf" to allow traffic to flow more freely during the improvement works.


Until Thursday 2nd May 2013, traffic will not be allowed to enter Lowesmoor from the Pheasant Street end. Deliveries and access to Lowesmoor will have to follow a diversion route which will allow access from the City Walls Road end.

On the 3rd May for approximately 18 weeks, Lowesmoor will be closed to traffic who wish to enter from the City Walls Road end. All deliveries and access to Lowesmoor will have to follow a diversion route which will allow access from Pheasant Street. A utility company will be setting up this road closure on Friday 3rd May, and we will take over the road closure after they have completed their works.

The works planned for today are a continuation from yesterday, we will be working at the splitter island at Pheasant Street junction with Lowesmoor. We will be continuing with the installation of cable ducting, traffic signal sockets plus the installtion of a manhole. We shall also be carrying out drainage works outside Lowesmoor Wharf on the footway.

Our plan for tomorrow will be continuing the works from today, although the location will be in the vacinity of the golf shop.

Phase 2 of the improvement works continues to go well.

Today we will be working outside "Tilleys" sandwich shop at the Pheasant Street end of Lowesmoor installing a chamber box for the traffic lights and ducting to the footway. The visibility fence will also be taken down whilst alterations are being made to the crossing.


Tomorrow we will continue working outside "Tilleys" sandwich shop with the installation of ducting and installation of new traffic light socket and loop box.

Lowesmoor traffic signal,Footway and Carriageway improvement works

Today we will be working with the contractor who is installing the new traffic lights on City Wall Road. There will be a lane closure on the inner lane as you go past the Cormarket this is so  new ducting can be laid in the road.
This week the old lights will be turned off with temporary traffic lights installed during the change over. The old poles will be removed and the new lights installed. We expect this changeover to take two to three days if all goes to plan.

Lowesmoor traffic signal,Footway and Carriageway improvement works

Today we will be working in Pheasant Street at Eagle Place installing ducting to the footway between the entrance of the Pentecostal Church and Puss and Pouch (pet grooming parlour). This afternoon we will be removing the visibility fence on the corner of Pheasant Street as you turn left into Lowesmoor, this is to allow ease of traffic flow whilst we carryout alterations to this junction.

There will be a lane closure in Sansome Street to City Walls Road today whilst the contractor who is installing the traffic lights carries out some preparation work and loop cuttings for the installation of the new traffic lights next week.


Next week commencing Monday 8th April, 2013 we plan to work with the contractor installing the traffic lights. The old lights will be turned off with temporary traffic lights installed during the change over. The old poles will be removed and the new lights installed. Today the contractor who is installing the traffic lights will be working under a lane closure, installing traffic light loops across the road at the top end of City Walls Road at the side of The Cornmarket carpark.

We will be installing ducting today at Eagle Place outside "Dovetails".

Tomorrow Friday 5th April, 2013 we will be installing ducting across the entrance of the Pentecostal Church.

Today we will be working outside The Royal Artillery installing ducting across the footway.
 
The traffic light contractor will be erecting traffic light heads at the lights by AV Band, Sansome Street.
 
We plan to work with the contractor installing the traffic lights next week from Monday 8th April, 2013 to help remove the old poles and reinstate the new traffic lights. 
 
A utilities company will be carrying out emergency works today outside the American Golf shop, Pheasant Street a road closure will be necessary to carryout this work out.

Lowesmoor traffic signal,Footway and Carriageway improvement works





The improvement works continue to go well with Phase one completed.   We plan to work with the contractor week commencing Monday 8th April, 2013 to help remove the old poles and reinstate the new traffic lights.  
 Work started today on Phase two of the improvement works. We will be working outside Eagle Place by "Dovetails" with the installation of traffic light loop box in road and ducting in the footway. No traffic control will be required for this as it will be carried out in two halfs.
On Wednesday 3rd April, 2013 we will be working outside The Royal Artillery installing ducting across the footway.
