Lowesmoor traffic signal,Footway and Carriageway improvement works

Today we will be working outside AV Band finishing the sets. This will complete Phase one of the improvement works. The contractor installing the traffic lights will still be working on these to complete the installation.  We plan to work with the contractor week commencing Monday 8th April, 2013 to help remove the old poles and reinstate the new traffic lights.  

 

No work will be carried out over the Easter break. 

 

Work will re-commence on Tuesday 2nd April, 2013 on Phase two of the improvement works. This will start outside Eagle Place with the installation of traffic light loops in the footway. No traffic management will be required for this as it will be carried out in two halfs.

 

On Wednesday 3rd April, 2013 we will be working outside The Royal Artillery installing ducting across the footway.

Today we will be working in the left hand lane outside the Cornmarket carpark working up towards the top of City Walls Road . It will be necessary to close the far left hand lane whilst we install ducting and kerbing and re-instate the footway. 

We will also be laying some sets at the bottom of St. Nicholas Street outside the Hair and Beauty Salon.

The improvement works continue to go well.

 

Today we will be working outside AV Band on the crossing relaying the sets and tactiles where ducting has been installed. No traffic management is required for this.

Today we are working outside AV Band excavating the footway and crossing. We will then lay the base course and surface course. We will be able to do this without distruption to traffic.

We will be working in this area tomorrow on the crossing outside AV Band relaying the sets and tactiles where ducting has been installed.

Today there will be a one day lane closure on City Walls Road as you turn left into the Cornmarket whilst we install ducting to the footway. We will not be able to reinstate the kerbing as planned due to the weather conditions today.

We will continue with the re-instatement of the sets (hard landscaping)  in the AV Band area of the footway.

On Monday 25th March, 2013 we will be working in the footway outside the AV Band area laying binder course and surface course.

The improvement works continue to go well with the road being re-opened today a day early with the completion of  the installation of ducting yesterday at the top Lowesmoor leading into Sansome place.

Today we will be working on the central reservation on City Walls Road at the top of Lowesmoor installing 2 loop boxes for the traffic signals.

An access box , loop box  and ducting will also be installed in the footway today outside AV Band. We will also be re-instating the replacement sets (hard landscaping) in this area.

Tomorrow Friday 22nd March, 2012 there will be a 1 day lane closure on City Walls Road as you turn left into the Cornmarket whilst we install ducting and kerbing to the footway.

Today we will continue the installation of ducting in the footway from the Hairdressers at the top of Lowesmoor continuing to the Church at the top of Sansome Walk. We will also be installing a Loop Box, Chamber and Kerbing.

Today we continue to work at the top of Sansome Walk as you turn left into Lowesmoor past "Fat Boy Trims" hairdresser's we will be installing two chambers and two loop boxes for the road. Ducting will  continue to be installed up to the Church.

This will be from the top of Sansome Walk as you turn left into Lowesmoor past "Fat Boy Trims" hairdresser's.  This is to enable us to excavate and install the ducting in the road ready for the pedestrian crossing.

Tomorrow we plan to install sockets for the traffic signal loop boxes.

Today we will be installing some kerbing by the pedestrian crossing in front of AV Band. We will also be laying ducting working towards St. Nicholas Street.

There will be a road closure for 4 days next week starting on Monday 18th March, 2013. This will be from the top of Sansome Walk as you turn left into Lowesmoor past "Fat Boy Trims" hairdresser's.  This is to enable us to excavate and install the ducting in the road ready for the pedestrian crossing.

Today we started work early before opening to  install ducting across the vehicular entrance at AV Band and will carryon installing the ducting and loop boxes towards the traffic lights.

Tomorrow we plan to install some kerbing ready for the new crossing on the same side of the road as AV Band. This will be carried out without any lane closures.

There will be a road closure for 4 days next week starting on Monday 18th March, 2013. Today we are installing kerbing, ducting and a chamber box on the island by A V Band.  Traffic management will not be required for this.

Tomorrow we will be working on the Footway starting at The Job Centre working towards A V Band installing ducting and loop boxes.

Today we are installing ducting on the splitter island outside AV Band. A loop box chamber and socket for the traffic lights will also be installed.

It will be necessary to close the right hand side lane whilst leaving the left hand lane open, whilst this work is being carried out.

We will continue working on the splitter island outside AV Band on Monday next week installing two more traffic signal sockets.

The improvement works continue to go well.

Today we commenced the installation of ducting in the carriageway outside AV Band. It will be necessary to close the right hand side lane whilst leaving the left hand lane open, whilst this work is being carried out.

We will also be working on the traffic island directly in front of AV Band installing further ducting and and a loop box chamber for the traffic lights.

This installation will continue tomorrow.

Yesterday we installed ducting on the right hand side of the carriageway as you come from Sansome Street to City Walls Road. Today we are installing the ducting in the left hand side of the road.

It will be necessary to close the left hand side lane whilst this work is being carried out today between the hours of 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Thursday and Friday we plan to install ducting in the carriageway outside AV Band. It will be necessary to close the right hand side lane whilst leaving the left hand lane open, whilst this work is being carried out.

Today we are working on the large splitter island on City Walls Road installing sockets for signals and ducting to the footway. Work will also be taking place on the island on the right hand side of Sansome Walk installing 2 more sockets for traffic signals, ducting and kerbing. 

 

Tomorrow it will be necessary to close the right hand side lane as you come from Sansome Street to City Walls road to install ducting to the carriageway.  The closure will be from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Today we are working on the footway by the site office at the juncion from Lowesmoor leading into Silver Street.  Kerbing will be laid for the disabled crossing, sockets installed for the traffic lights and further ducting.

 The bus lane re-opened today as planned.
